What Practitioners Are Saying

The following reflections come from those who have walked this path — pundits, practitioners, and seekers who have experienced the transformative power of the Sandhya practice.

I would like to share my heartfelt experience with the Sandhya course. As a practicing pundit, I have always valued discipline, mantra, and daily sadhana — but this course has brought a deeper level of awareness and structure to my spiritual routine.

Through the guidance provided, my daily Sandhya has become more than just a ritual, it has become a living, breathing connection with the Divine. My concentration during mantra recitation has improved, my mind feels calmer, and there is a noticeable increase in inner clarity and peace throughout the day.

What has touched me even more is the impact on my devotees. Since incorporating these teachings, I have been able to guide them with greater confidence and depth. They too have started experiencing more focus, devotion, and spiritual upliftment in their own practices. The transformation is not just personal — it is collective.

This course has strengthened my role as a spiritual guide and has enriched the lives of those who come seeking dharma and inner peace. I am truly grateful for this knowledge and would recommend it to anyone serious about deepening their spiritual journey.

Growing up in a devout Arya Samajist household, my exposure to the practice of Sandhya and Brahma Yajna began at a very tender age. My now deceased father, Pandit Doodnath Chadee, ensured that his children were taught both Sandhya and Agnihotra mantras, making it a regular practice in our home.

This background knowledge provided a stepping stone for a better understanding and appreciation of the practice of Sandhya and its importance to our daily lives. Greater insight and guidance came to our family and members of our community through several workshops conducted by Bhai Geetram Ramsamooj over the years.

This clarity was not only deeply appreciated by myself but by my father as well — even though he was a practitioner of Sandhya for most of his ninety years. Bhai Geet taught us techniques to improve our practice and expounded the benefits, making Sandhya more effective in our daily lives.

Presently, I, as well as my mother, have been experiencing peace of mind and mental fortitude brought about by this practice. Sandhya has become a tool for coping as we grapple with the challenges of grieving my dad, who only recently passed away.

I attended this course for the first time last year, and it was genuinely a great experience. Shri Geet Ramsamooj creates a very welcoming and respectful environment, which makes it easy to relax and fully engage in the sessions. The course goes beyond just surface-level learning; it really encourages self-reflection and helps you uncover things about yourself that you may not have been aware of before.

I found it beneficial not just mentally, but physically and emotionally as well. The conversations were meaningful, and the overall atmosphere was calm and positive. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something that supports both personal growth and well-being.

Many thanks for inviting me to your Sandhya workshop in Trinidad. Performing Sandhya my whole life and thinking I am receiving its benefits. However, after your detailed explanation of each mantra at the workshop, I realized the greater benefit we had been missing all along.

We often take things at face value, unaware of the greater benefits to be derived. Our masters who created our rituals and devotional practices took great care to ensure we receive significant spiritual, emotional, and physical benefits. Your workshop was an eye-opener for me; never again would I casually chant those mantras, but now I know how, when, and why. There's much more power in my meditating and chanting now. I bow to your superior knowledge of our teachings.

Children seldom understand the things their parents do for them in the moment, and only truly appreciate them many years later. I am not an exception to the rule. Papa (more commonly known as Shri Geetram Ramsamooj) would wake me up on Sunday mornings and we would go through a routine of Hindi and music lessons, yoga, and meditation. While my youthful self wasn't always thrilled by these activities, especially on one of my days off, I can now wholeheartedly thank him for the exposure to these skills he offered me.

To me, Sandhya is not primarily a religious or spiritual exercise, though those aspects are undoubtedly important. To me, Sandhya is a practice of good mental health, introspection, and self-discovery. Whether on Sunday mornings or more recently at his Sandhya workshops, these practices helped me throughout my life and helped me develop my confidence, my patience, and my empathy.

Self-improvement can be difficult. It takes time, effort, and discipline. But through Sandhya, self-improvement is not the goal, it is an inevitable by-product of focusing oneself through these practices. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who is interested in being a better version of the person they currently are.
